Mediation
Mediation is a structured process used to help people resolve their dispute. In this process, a mediator (an impartial third party) helps parties to identify the issues in dispute and create and develop options for resolving these issues.
At Listen Talk Resolve we can customise the mediation process to suit your group’s needs and goals. We work in an impartial but compassionate way to ensure that all parties can participate equally and have the space to be heard. Whether you are from a workplace, neighbourhood or community organisation, we can assist you to work through conflict towards resolution.
What can it offer:
It allows people to ‘be heard’
It helps draw people away from immovable positions and instead focus on their needs and interests
It helps get to the heart of a problem
It is future focused
It is quicker and less costly than going to court
It creates an environment where parties jointly problem-solve and create the solution, meaning any resolution is more likely to last
It can build better communication between parties for future problem-solving
It is confidential
